Title: Letter referring to travelling-money
Category: Miscellaneous correspondence

A fragment containing three lines of a letter. It is not clear whether it belongs to the left- or right-hand side of a diptych. Apart from the reference to uiaticum we have no clue to the content. The text is remarkable for its regular use of interpunct (cf. 345) and also for the form of a, approximating to the capital, in which the second descender has virtually become a cross-bar.

n 2 ]ma...m · uiatico · meó
n 3 ] · quod · ante[[an[]]

2          For uiaticum cf. 283.5 (= Tab.Vindol.I 40, where see our note). There may be an apex mark over the final o.

3          The last two letters in the line are emphatically erased and it looks as if the writer may have begun to write ante again. There is an apparent horizontal stroke through ante preceding them but this is not ink.
