This section contains the introductions to the different categories of documents found at Vindolanda. These were published in Tab. Vindol. II. They comprise introductions to the literary or ‘subliterary’ texts, shorthand documents, military reports, accounts and lists, the correspondence associated with various individuals and the descripta, documents too damaged to assign to a particular category.
